if there is something that is impossible to do in my life today & it could be done, would it fundamentally change what i do?
by using this question we are becoming the possibility thinker.
the author gives one example of a possibility thinker as follows:
Dada Saheb Phalke is considered to be the greatest contributor to Indian cinema an ordinary family, living an ordinary life amidst ordinary situations and circumstances, (Principle for success )
running his own printing press, the only thing extraordinary about this legendary man was his dream of making the first Indian film and setting the stage for the entire film industry in India.
with poverty on one side and an absolute lack of knowledge about filmmaking on the other, the possibility thinker in Dadasaheb Phalke defied all laws and conditions to chase his dream.
from closing down his printing press to withstanding extreme financial ruin and pledging his wife’s jewelry, he went to England and studied film technology, bought the necessary equipment, and started his virtual factory here, in India.
when no woman was ready to face the camera and the consequent social stigma, he can a cook’s feminine-looking male assistant as his heroine, but did not give up in the absence of a lead actor. (Principle for success )
In this period, he almost lost his eyesight due to the excessive strain caused by film viewing underwent severe physical, mental, financial, and emotional ordeals, came on the streets, sold everything that he had including cutlery, did everything except for one thing- give up!
He was obsessed with his belief in making the first motion picture in India and there is nobody between him and god. His belief, passion, and purpose gave us the gift of the ‘Indian Film Industry.
He did not succumb to the constraints surrounding him but persisted till he achieved his dream and left a permanent mark on the Indian film fraternity and will be remembered for as long as life exists on earth. (Principle for success )
we live like possibility thinkers and we achieve abnormal or extraordinary results.
